Tim Parchikov (b. 1983) graduated from Gerasimov State University of Cinematography in 2006 (Cinematography) and The High Courses of Scriptwriters and Film Directors in Moscow in 2007 (Film Directing). He is a recipient of the 2014 Kandinsky Prize (Best Young Artist) and is based between Moscow and Paris.
Parchikov’s international solo exhibitions include Suspense at Centro Niemeyer, Avilés, in 2015, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris in 2014, Domus Artium 2002, Salamanca, in 2013, Juana de Aizpuru Gallery, Madrid, in 2012 and Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Rome, in 2011; Dead Sea at Juana de Aizpuru Gallery, Madrid in 2014; Fast-Moving Tides at Priska Pasquer Gallery, Cologne, in 2014; Times New Roman. Episode III: Moscow at La Galleria Parmeggiani, Reggio Emilia, in 2013. He also exhibited his work in Saint Petersburg (The Foundation Pit at Marina Gisich gallery, in 2014) and in Moscow (Times New Roman. Episode III: Moscow in Glaz Gallery). His group exhibitions include Burning News at the Hayward Gallery, London, in 2014; Le Nouveau Festival, Centre Pompidou, in 2014; Real Venice, 54th Venice Biennale, in 2011; and Time within Us at Istanbul Modern, and Thessaloniki Museum of Photography in 2010. He is represented by Juana de Aizpuru Gallery, Madrid, Glaz Gallery, Moscow, Marina Gisich gallery, Saint Petersburg and Priska Pasquer Gallery, Cologne.
